About Us

Welcome to The Fandom Project.

What We Are About: We are a non-profit organization that wants those that have been cut out from the regular social world - children, teenagers, and adults alike - because of their love of books and various fandoms, to have a safe haven. It doesn't seem bad to like those things but the reason they are kept from society is because they are true fans. They are part of a fandom; a place where people are accepted for what they love and they share the same bond as others around the world.

How We Came To Be:The idea to make this organization came from a 13-year-olds mind in a Facebook group. She made a post about how cool it would be to have a place just for fangirls and fanboys to be themselves with their favorite fandom's buildings and everything that made them amazing. In minutes many people came together to see how they could make this nearly impossible plan come to be. Facebook pages and groups were made, this website and now a petition that only needs 1,000 signatures to get this project moving.

What We Need: We need YOU. To many people we seem to be teenagers who are just playing around. No. We are far from that. We are trying to make millions of people’s dreams come true. We need your support, your ideas, and even though we hate asking, some of your money. Money is important to this project and we need to start setting up donations. We have planned on many great things for ths project and we are keeping them realistic. The Fandom Project needs the support of all Fangirls and Fanboys out there. We need you to get this project known so we can make this a reality

Our Sub-Goal: Making an island/plot of land could take years and many people will believe we aren't serious. So we have a sub-goal. We're going to get a  plot of land which will hold 8 fandoms that have been decided on:

  • The Hunger Games
  • Harry Potter
  • Doctor Who
  • Sherlock
  • Divergent
  • Percy Jackson
  • Supernatural
  • The Mortal Instruments

This sub-goal will bring in many sponsers and can serve as a headquarters for fangirls and fanboys until the island/plot of land is designed and opened.
